Paris Olympics

July 23, 2024

There are three categories of winners for this week's game: Random drawing, funniest answer, and favorite answer.

The total prize amount for the week is $1,000.

The cumulative number of submitters from the three winners' groups was 20, so each person takes home $50.00.

Random Drawing

The winner of the random drawing is Sarah H. of Test Innovators!

Sarah was one of eight members of the Test Innovators group to submit a quiz this week.

All 8 players win a prize!

Funniest Wrong Answer

The funniest wrong answer belonged to Anthony G. of AWS HCLS and Energy.

The question was "What Olympic martial arts event roughly translates from the Korean for "the art of kicking and punching"?"

And Anthony's answer was "Rock 'Em Sock 'Em"

We haven't brushed up on our Korean in awhile, but we don't think that's quite right. Of course Anthony's answer is referring to the action figure game Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots. If you've never seen them in action, you're missing out!

Anthony was one of five members of the AWS HCLS and Energy group to submit a quiz this week.

All 5 players win a prize!

Favorite Answer

Our team's favorite answer came from Danielle T. of BMGF FSO.

The question was "What’s the name of the Grecian town located approximately 42.2 kilometers from Athens that lends its name to a race whose medals are traditionally awarded during the Olympic closing ceremonies?"

And Danielle's answer was "Marathon (no idea what city!)"

Well Danielle, do we have a geography lesson for you! Yes, at this point when most people hear the word "marathon" they think of the ~26 mile race. HOWEVER, where do you think it got it's name?!?!?

Danielle was one of seven members of the BMGF FSO group to submit a quiz this week.

All 7 players win a prize!
